Avalon Plus by Madeira is a water-soluble, non-woven embroidery stabilizer. It has the strength of a non-woven fabric, dissolves completely in warm water without residue, and can handle dense stitching without tearing.

Material
  • 100% Polyvinyl Alcohol, lightweight (approx. 1.18 oz or 40 g/m²).
Ideal for
  • Lace embroidery
  • Sheer fabrics like silk, organza and tulle
  • Light and delicate fabrics
  • Freehand machine embroidery

Application

  • Can be used as a backing, or embroidered on it's own for freestanding lace. 
  • Excess stabilizer is trimmed, and remnants dissolve in water, leaving only the embroidery.
  • Stabilizes delicate fabrics and ensures clean embroidery results.
  • The firm texture prevents slipping during stitching.
